Transportation and Logistic Division
The TAL division was established as a matter of operational necessity created by our combined success. As our companies continue to grow and expand into other regions, they increasingly depend on outside vendors for their transportation and logistics needs. An unexpected increase in these types of activities along with an unpredictable, uncontrollable increase in costs justified an investment intervention to fill the void and save resources. In 2005 a new entity was created as an in-house subsidiary charged with helping that effort.
Today, GIA has third-party logistic operations that offer a wide range of transportation and logistics solutions applicable to any industry, by matching the needs of shippers with the capabilities and capacity of carriers. As non-asset based logistic operations in this division, our subsidiaries use contracted assets to deliver an optional transportation logistics solution worldwide, moving more than 15,000 loads per week with exceptional industry and credit ratings.
This division has considerable experience in consolidation, forwarding of air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, and customized logistic solutions. The transportation logistics division was built on sound financial footing, strong partnerships with major industry players, and reliable relationships with national and international carriers known for their broad range of transportation and logistic capabilities.
